Hannah Montana - Miley Cyrus

Hannah Montana is the TV alter-ego of 14-year-old Cyrus, who plays a teenager living a double life as a rock star on a hit Disney Channel cable show.

Hannah Montana is Superman for "tween" girls: she's got the secret identity, a more relevant superpower and a blond wig instead of a cape. Hannah Montana is one of Disney's most successful television shows, popular among "tweens" between the ages of 10 and 14.

The series focuses on Miley Stewart (played by Miley Cyrus), who lives a double life as an average teenage girl at school during the day and a famous pop singer, Hannah Montana, at night, concealing her real identity from the public other than her close friends and family.

Only her close family, best friends Lilly and Oliver, ex-boyfriend Jake Ryan, and bodyguard Roxy know that she is living a double life as "Teen Pop Sensation" Hannah Montana. Miley is just a normal teenage girl at high school in California during the day, but at night, Hannah Montana is the famous version of herself.

Miley

Miley just moved from Tennessee as a country singer and now has to adapt to life in Malibu. Miley wants to be a normal girl, with no problems in her life, but in her role of a "pop star," she never really seems to accomplish that.

She lives in a house by the beach with her father Robby (played by Miley's real life father Billy Ray Cyrus) and older brother Jackson (played by Jason Earles), who works down at Rico's Surf Shop by the beach.

Music

Born into a family with roots in country music (her father is singer Billy Ray Cyrus and her godmother is the great Dolly Parton) Miley developed her singing and songwriting skills at a young age. Its popularity is due in large part to Miley Cyrus's infectious charm and musical talent.

The show includes original music recorded by its star, Miley. Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus is now hitting the road with all the great songs from her show.

Hannah's Concert Tour

The Hannah Montana star's concert tour, is the most requested event at Ticketmaster this quarter, beating out such acts as Bruce Springsteen, the Chicago Bears and the Ringling Bros. The 56-city tour is of course fueled by the success of her Disney Channel TV show, Hannah Montana, in which she plays a normal kid who lives a secret life as a pop star.

The series earned an Emmy nomination in 2007, and already Disney has started an enormous franchise of Hannah Montana jewelry, apparel, music, toys, and other products. Disney is counting on success with the Hannah Montana Franchise, and it's just in time for the Holidays.
